Deforestation

For decades Haiti has experienced widespread deforestation, soil erosion and unsustainable farming, leading to a decrease in biodiversity and an increase in bare mountains.

Wynne Farm Ecological Reserve nurtures flora and fauna and protects a vital water source that flows from the mountains of Kenscoff to the greater Port-au-Prince area.

The earth cannot flourish without water and humans cannot either. Help us protect this symbiotic relationship.

When we preserve our natural resources, we preserve our future.

Wynne Farm Ecological Reserve demonstrates the benefits of responsible land use as one of the few nature attractions, ecological parks, environmental learning centers and outdoor yoga spaces in Haiti.

We teach students, farmers and visitors from Haiti and around the world about conservation, reforestation and sustainable organic farming, and the benefits of yoga and environmental stewardship for body, mind and spirit.
